My Easy Skincare Routine For Mom Life
I’m a big believer in a high-low situation when it comes to skincare. Generally, I believe in investing in serums and treatments and saving on SPF, cleanser, and (occasionally) moisturizer. I think that finding a skincare routine that works for you is some trial so there’s no ideal recipe for the perfect routine (annoying I know). My skin is generally dry and my main concerns are fine lines/wrinkles and some uneven skintone. You’ll notice my current routine is a mix of BeautyCounter and drugstore brands, but I’ll also include links to some other brands I’ve also loved!
Cleanser - I’m trying really hard to incorporate cleansing my skin regularly! I’ve been a makeup wipe girl forever so this is a big adustment for me!
Squalane Oil - I have posted about this on Instagram a lot, but I found this oil at the Ulta in Target in a moment of desperation when my skin was so, so dry. This oil is only $10 and I’ve been obsessed with it!
Hyaluronic Acid - This one isn’t linked because it’s from good ‘ole Trader’s Joes. Hyaluronic Acid is really great for adding moisture to skin and has tons of benefits for your face.
Countertime Serum - CounterTime is the BeautyCounter anti-aging line that I’m obsessed with. All of BeautyCounter’s product are clean and safe for use. This serum is great for fighting those fine lines and wrinkles!
Vitamin C Serum - This is my holy grail skin product! I am obsessed with this serum! It smells citrusy and immediately looks your skin look bright and dewy. It’s like a little spa treatment every morning!
Supreme Cream or Neutragena Hydroboost - For moisturizer I alternate between the Supreme Cream when I want to splurge and get some extra moisture for my skin and the Neutragena Hydroboost when I want to grab something cheap at the drugstore. I really love both products, but do notice my skin looks better when I use the Supreme Cream regularly.
Sunscreen - I grabbed this sunscreen during a recent trip to the drugstore and really love it! It’s light and doesn’t leave any white residue on the skin AND it makes your skin look a little extra glowy. Win!
Cleanser - This is the same cleanser I use in the morning! I always read to save money on cleanser in lieu of other skin products so this is a great budget option!
Resurfacing Peel - This nightime serum makes all of your skin products work so much better. Simply put this on before your heavy hitter serums and you’ll notice such a difference! This is a product you start with once a week and work your way up to a few times a week.
Vitamin C Serum - I praised this product above — if you purchase one product from this post, buy this one!
Countertime Serum - This serum is my go-to for fighting fine lines and wrinkles! It has a natural retinol complex that’s great for fighting aging.
Supreme Cream - I really love to reach for this luxe moisturizer at night when my skin needs some extra moisture! This cream is ultra-hydrating and feels so good.
Bio-Oil - This oil has a cult following for good reason. It’s super affordable and last forever. I bought this oil to help wtih the stretch marks on my stomach, but have also started using it on my face! It helps reduce scarring, improves fine lines, and locks in all the moisture. This oil also helps with dark circles under your eyes! Just dab a tiny amount under each eye.
Lip Conditioner - Much like my skin, my lips can be SO dry. I’ve tried several overnight lip conditioners and this one is my fave. It lasts forever and doesn’t have any weird taste!
Other Skincare Products Love…
I love trying out new skincare so I have tried so many! The above products are my tried and true daily picks, but some other favorites are:
Clarins Depuffing Mask - This mask is unreal! My face gets so puffy from eating and drinking and life and this stuff really makes a difference in just 10 minutes!
B-Tight Cellulite Cream - I bought a bunch of Maelys products to try after one too many Instagram Ads and while I’m still in the trial phase, I have already noticed positive results with their booty mask! My leg cellulite is definitely less noticeable!
Ice Roller - I love an ice roller for those puffy moments and first thing in the AM! Keep your roller in the freezer and it’s so refreshing and helps relieve any puffiness.
Kiehl’s Dark Spot Treatment - I had some serious melasma after pregnancy and this product works so well to even out skintone!
Cooling & Brightening Eye Stick - I purchase this goodie again and again, it’s another great treat yourself routine every morning. This eye stick has a retinol alternative for anti-aging and hyaluronic acid for moisturizing! I keep my eye stick in the fridge so it’s extra refreshing when I put it on!
