7 Random Things: Kyle

Thanksgiving has past and December is almost here! Time flies when you have kids destryong your house, am I right?! We had a low key Thanksgiving with my MIL and then my family came for a night. It was nice to have time at home with family! We potty trained Tucker, which I’d rate at about a 6 out of 10. He does great at school then pees his pants and laughs in my face so we’re hoping things continue improving. He’s a true second child!

Kim and I got peels! I got a VI Peel through Pinch and I’m SOLD! I had minimal peeling and one day that it was a bit uncomfortable, but generally it was quick and painless. The actually peel took about 15 minutes and then “recovery” is 5-7 days. I am 7 days out and I’m loving the results! My skin feels so smooth and glowy and my largest dark spot is noticeably lighter.

On the business front, I’ve been having a blast styling clients. It’s so fun hearing about trips and life updates! Recently, I’ve been styling for lots of winter vacations, which has me thinking about my own vaca outfits. I recently styled a male client, which was a fun change of pace. Check out a peek below! He is head on a cruise and needed vacation outfits. You can book Men’s styling here.

What I’m Reading and Listening To…

The Fourth Wing - Okay, if you haven’t heard of this series, it’s time to jump in! I was obsessed with this book—it’s Hunger Games meets Harry Potter meets Game of Thrones. There are dragons and magic and love, what more could you want?!

Iron Flame - This is the second book in The Fourth Wing/Empyrean series and it was even better than the first! Yes, you do need to read The Fourth Wing first. 10/10 reading both of these books. They are long so I alternate between reading on Kindle and listening on Audible.

Three Simple Rules - I accidentally stumbled into the romance/smutty genre and have enjoyed this series. There’s 7 books so the fun never ends. The characters are likeable and it’s a fun, light read. Fair warning, these are pretty R rated so skip audible for these.

The Bakersfield Three - This podcast was a WILD ride!! A reporter details the missing cases of three friends in Bakersfiled and interviews their mothers and key players. The story is truly unbelievable, but the bond between the moms is also really unique and interesting to hear.

7 Things I’m Loving Now

  1. Libby App - I’m kicking myself that I didn’t start using this app sooner. With the Libby app you can get Audible and Kindle books for free by signing up with your local library card, genius!

  2. Tucky - Another GENIUS find!! The Tucky allows you to easily tuck in your tops without the bulk of tucking it into your pants. We don’t need anymore bulk, ya know? You can see my reel on it here!

  3. Cold Brew with Cold Foam - Confession, I get one of these almost every day. I love them from Starbucks and Dunkin’, buuuuut Dunkin’ has lower cal and is cheaper!

  4. Rakuten - We’re all spending a lot of money on holiday gifts right now so we might as well get some cash back! Rakuten has a Chrome plugin and app that gives you cash back for purchases. It’s so easy and worth it!

  5. Elf on the Shelf Guide - Elf is back, fun but extra stress!! We made this guide to make the Elf’s visit as stress free as possible!

  6. Shop A La Main La Bleu - I’m on my second empty container of this and I’m obsessed with it! It’s great for glowy skin and staying hydrated all winter long.

  7. Elf Contour - I’m really trying to get into contouring and have tried a few different brands. This E.L.F. Countour Wand from Target for $9 is my favorite I’ve found! I also use the blush and highlighter from the same collection.
