Powder Room Glow Up for Under $600
When we moved into our home, I knew I wanted to redo our powder room. The red stencils and old fashioned lights were not in my aesthetic.
As you know, life happens and 3 years passed before I finally decided to undertake the project. We discovered OneDecor wallpapers and knew we could tackle this project on our own! They have hundreds of patterns in both peel and stick and traditional wallpaper styles. I know myself and peel and stick was definitely the way to go! We ordered 3 samples (they’re $5 each) to make sure we liked how the designs looked in the space.
We ended up selecting the Art Nouveau Floral pattern and I ordered 7 rolls. I mis-measured though so had to order 2 more! Definitely recommend triple checking your measurements!
While I waited for the additional rolls to arrive, I ordered these new sconces from Amazon and hired a task rabbit to install them since that is beyond my skill level! I had to FaceTime my dad when I was taking down the old lights because I was scared to electrocute myself lol!
The whole process of taking down lights, hanging the wall paper, and replacing light switch faceplate covers took about 6 hours total and was under $600 for the wallpaper, lights, and light switch faceplate covers! I’m so happy with how it turned out and want to wallpaper the kids’ bathrooms next!
