Braun IPL Silk Expert Pro Review
With Summer rolling around and bathing suit season arriving, I wanted to find a solution for hair removal that wouldn’t leave me with embarrassing razor bumps. I tried Laser Hair Removal at a medspa last year but I only did 3 sessions and didn’t notice a huge difference. I was considering it again this year but didn’t want to spend the money for not great results. One of my fave bloggers, Liz Joy, started posting about the Braun IPL Silk Expert Pro and I was instantly interested. She posted some videos showing how easy it was to use and raved about the results. I did some research and read tons of reviews of the Braun IPL Silk Expert and the Nood and ultimately decided to trust the reviews and Liz Joy’s recommendation and took the plunge.
Once I made the decision, I quickly ordered the Braun Silk Expert Pro from Amazon and it arrived the same day. I eagerly opened it and was impressed with how small it was and the cute packaging. The instructions were super simple and quick to read so I waited until the kids went to bed and then got to work with the Braun. The first thing you need to do it shave the area before you use the IPL. I decided to use it on my underarms, bikini area, and legs. The whole process took about 15 minutes and was relatively painless. You can change the sensitivity level from 1-3 depending on your tolerance and preference. I started using it on April 3rd and have used it once/week for the past 8 weeks. Within a month, I noticed how much less stubble I had on my legs and my razor burn didn’t come back around my bikini area. My underarms were the most noticeable and I’m thrilled. The hair is almost completely gone and I think after a few more sessions it will be totally gone. Once you hit around 12 weeks of use, you’re supposed to stretch usage to every other week and then eventually to monthly or as needed for maintenance.
I’m thrilled with the results and would highly recommend the Braun IPL Silk Expert Pro to anyone who gets razor burn or is just over shaving/waxing! The overall cost is far less than going to get laser hair removal at a salon and you can use it for maintenance too.
